Welcome to One Minute Success Friday!

These are  tips that will take just a minute or two for you to read and quickly see how you can implement on a consistent basis.  I hope that these tips will help you make better decisions in order to see positive results that you are looking for in your life, career or business.

So Let's get to it!

learning

Be a Student of your Industry

I have always been very passionate about personal growth and professional development.  I see myself as a life long student in my chosen areas of business and career.

Whether you see yourself as a beginner or an expert, there is always something new to learn that will give you the edge in your chosen area.  Every single day, learn something new.  It is not hard at all and can be easily implemented into your day.  Read a book or an article on your chosen topic the first 30 minutes of your day or listen to an audio on your drive in to the office.  There are lots of ways that you can implement learning into your day.

creativity

You are More Creative Than You Think

One of my pet peeves is to hear people say things, such, "I am not creative" or "I don't know how to be creative."  Creativity is not something that only a chosen few are born with.  If you have grey matter between your two ears, you are as creative as you want to be or as you allow yourself to be.

When you keep telling yourself and others over and over that you are not creative, you are not allowing yourself to even have a chance to be creative. So the first step is to STOP telling yourself and others that you are not creative or at least don't tell me ..... 🙂

Research has found that when a deadline is forced upon you, your brain  kicks into creativity mode and starts giving you all sorts of ideas.

Try this.  Think about a problem you may currently have or some new ideas you need to grow your business.  NOW give yourself a short deadline to come up with these new ideas or a solution to that problem.  You don't want the deadline to be too far off, else your brain will not kick into the creative mode to start giving you ideas.  Next, start writing down any ideas that come to your mind. Write down EVERYTHING.  Don't judge the idea, no matter how crazy the idea may seem. Come up with at least twelve.  If you can do more, great! But let the minimum be twelve.  After you have all of your ideas down on paper, take a break and come back to it later in the day and then start the process of selecting the best ideas or solutions to your problem that you can start implementing.  Good luck!

productive

Be More Productive ... Tomorrow

I have often heard Jim Rohn say, " Do not start your day until it is already finished on paper."  I have found that when I am consistent at doing this, my day tends to be more productive and stress is very low.

If you want to be more productive tomorrow, you need to start preparing today.  Before you leave your office, build in 30 minutes at the end of each day that is only for you.  Use this time to jot down tomorrow's key task and collect any documents or contact information that may be relevant for getting theses tasks completed.  When you come in to the office tomorrow, you will feel that much more productive and in control of your day when you walk in the door because it is already on paper.

You can also use this same method when it comes to managing your personal life.

I hope that these tips will help you to have a successful Friday!
