Since we are quickly moving into summer, I know how important it is a woman to want to have that healthy skin glow. The marketplace is flooded with products that will enhance your appearance. However, this is nothing like beauty from the inside out. This Friday's tips is geared towards helping you to achieve that summertime glow from the inside out and look and feel your best.
Your skin is the largest organ of your body and it is the first defense to protecting us on a daily basis. To provide yourself with enough antioxidants, these are the fruits that should be a regular part of your diet: blueberries, plums, blackberries and strawberries.
Salmon, walnuts, flaxseed and canola oil for omega-3 fatty acids also contributes to healthy and healthy looking skin.
Water is SO, SO important. It is the one thing I don't think many really drink enough of. If you are not drinking half your body weight, in ounces, per day, you are not drinking enough water. Water helps to move nutrients in and toxins out out of our body. It keeps us from getting dehydrated and keeps our skin looking fresh.
Green tea is also great for fighting inflammation.
To achieve healthy hair and nails maintain a healthy diet with enough protein. If you have brittle nails, take biotin supplements. This also promotes strong healthy hair follicles.
Your nails take a beating every time you wash your hands. Always use a good moisturizer after every hand wash to lubricate both your skin and your nails.
Regardless of your ethnicity, we all produce natural oils for our hair. You want to protect your hair's natural shine and natural oils by washing with lukewarm and NOT hot water.
I don't know about you, but it is just something about even hearing the words 'exercise' that just have a deflating effect on me. Yes, I really understand the importance of exercise and that I need to do it everyday to be healthy. However, once I get past my resistance, I always feel great after I exercise. I feel alive and I feel like I can conquer the world after a great workout.
