I have often thought that  if I had to give up any two things in exchange for wealth beyond my wildest dreams, these two would definitely not be on the list.

I believe that time and relationships are the two most important and valuable gifts that God has blessed each and everyone of us with.  Whether we are rich, poor, old or young, all have been given time and an opportunity to nuture relationships with our family and friends.

Time once passed can never be reclaimed.  Every day, every minute and every second that goes by leaves it’s mark of what we did or did not do to use it as an opportunity to make a difference.

As I see each day pass and every year that goes by, adding another year to my age, I know that it means one less year I have left on this earth.  As I evaluate my time more closely, counting it like precioius coins, I know that how I invest my time is even more important as I think about the impact on want to have on those around me and the legacy that I would like to leave.

That brings me to relationships. If the richest person on earth was on their death bed at this very moment, I don’t think they would be asking to have one last look at all of their worldly possessions and the richest they have accumulated. No! they would probably ask for more time to be with the ones they love the most and even have an opportunity to build more relationships so that they can make a difference in other lives.

 Time is precious and we have so little of it when we look at it in the grand scheme of creation.  We are yet a passing vapour.  Decide today, to make every moment count.
